Designed by Florence Knoll in 1956, model 65A Lounge Chair is one of the most recognizable and enduring expressions of mid-century modern design. What makes this set particularly remarkable is its provenance. Both chairs retain their original Rolex metal identification tags, indicating they were commissioned for and used by Rolex. They were produced in March of 1965 (see picture of original stamp). Corporate pieces with such direct and visible provenance are rarely found on the market, offering a unique glimpse into the furnishing standards of one of the world’s most prestigious luxury brands.
