The “Alien” table lamp by Luciano Cesaro is a collectible Italian design item from the late 1970s to early 1980s, produced by Tre Ci Luce. It is widely recognized for its strong Space Age aesthetic, combining sculptural form with functional lighting.
The design is defined by two opposing frosted glass elements that create a hovering, UFO-like silhouette, mounted on a solid black conical base. A small glass finial at the top adds a subtle futuristic detail, reinforcing its architectural and sci-fi character. The lamp typically uses a central bulb that diffuses light evenly through the curved glass shades, producing a soft ambient glow.
As part of Italy’s postmodern design movement, the Alien lamp reflects the era’s fascination with futurism, technology, and unconventional forms. Today, it is considered a sought-after vintage collectible, valued for both its sculptural presence and its association with iconic Italian lighting design of the 20th century.
The perfect fit to complete your interior.
