Wincrantz Skövde

S.M. Wincrantz Möbelindustri was a Swedish furniture manufacturer based in Skövde, a region renowned for its long tradition of furniture craftsmanship. Active throughout the mid-twentieth century, the company became particularly known for its collaborations with leading Swedish designers, most notably Folke Jansson, whose organic and sculptural seating designs helped define the firm’s identity.

During the 1950s and 1960s, Wincrantz produced a range of high-quality upholstered furniture distinguished by careful craftsmanship, innovative forms, and an emphasis on comfort. Many of the company’s designs embodied the softer and more expressive side of Swedish Modernism, combining functional design principles with sculptural silhouettes.
