This sculptural Space Age table lamp of the late 1960s to 1970s is a striking example of European modernist lighting design. Executed in exceptionally heavy clear glass, the lamp features a bold geometric composition with suspended spherical elements encased within a rectangular glass body. The presence of delicate air bubbles throughout the glass adds depth and movement, emphasizing the handcrafted character of the item.
The design strongly recalls the experimental lighting produced by Poliarte in Italy, while also sharing similarities with the refined glass work of Willem Heesen for Royal Leerdam in the Netherlands. Combining architectural structure with sculptural transparency, the lamp perfectly captures the futuristic elegance associated with the Space Age aesthetic.
A newly made raw silk lampshade complements the substantial glass base with warmth and texture, creating a soft and atmospheric light. The contrast between the tactile natural fabric and the cool clarity of the glass enhances the lamp’s sophisticated presence.

The lamp is in very good vintage condition, small chip from bottom (see picture). The wiring has been checked. It has a new shade in raw silk.Dimensions
