An elegant Danish table lamp from the 1960s, characterised by its organic silhouette and refined combination of teak and brass. The design reflects the Scandinavian appreciation for natural materials, sculptural forms and carefully considered proportions.
The beautifully turned teak base features a slender, elongated neck that gradually widens towards the bottom, creating a graceful, almost trumpet-like silhouette. The warm reddish-brown tones and subtle grain patterns of the teak emphasise the natural character of the wood, while a delicate brass detail at the base introduces a refined metallic accent.
The lamp retains its original brass lamp fitting, an attractive detail that complements the warmth of the teak. Its sculptural form is further enhanced by a newly fitted fabric shade with a distinctive, gently undulating lower edge. Reminiscent of flower petals, the shade introduces a soft, playful element that contrasts beautifully with the clean lines of the wooden base.
The combination of organic shapes, natural materials and restrained detailing makes this lamp a characteristic example of Danish mid-century design. Its balanced proportions and warm appearance make it particularly suitable for a side table, bedside table or console.
The perfect fit to complete your interior.
