The iconic MS-6 lounge chair by Arnold Madsen and Henry Schubell is a refined example of Danish craftsmanship and sculptural mid-century design. Designed and produced in Denmark during the 1950s, the model is celebrated for its elegant proportions, exceptional comfort, and beautifully organic silhouette.

This particular chair has been fully restored with great respect for the original design. The upholstery has been completely renewed in a premium linen and wool blend by De Le Cuona, selected for its rich texture, soft natural appearance, and timeless character. The luxurious fabric perfectly complements the sculptural lines of the chair while adding warmth and depth to the overall composition.

The solid beech frame has received a new, very dark walnut stain and has been finished with natural oil, creating a deep and sophisticated tone while allowing the natural grain of the wood to remain visible. The contrast between the dark frame and the light textured upholstery enhances the elegant architectural shape of the design.

One of the defining features of the MS-6 is its flowing armrests and beautifully balanced frame construction, showcasing the understated sophistication and craftsmanship that define Scandinavian Modern furniture from this era. Combined with the floating seat cushions and distinctive buttoned backrest, the chair offers both visual lightness and exceptional comfort.

A timeless and increasingly collectible lounge chair, completely restored and ready for next generation of refined interiors.
