Cassina

Cassina is an Italian furniture manufacturer founded in 1927 in Meda, Italy, and is widely regarded as one of the most influential companies in modern design history. Originally a traditional woodworking business, Cassina became a pioneer of industrial furniture production in the postwar period, helping to define the aesthetics and manufacturing methods of modern and contemporary design.

The company is especially known for its long-standing collaborations with leading architects and designers. Among its most important contributions is the licensed production of furniture by Le Corbusier, Charlotte Perriand, and Pierre Jeanneret, including iconic pieces such as the LC2 and LC3 armchairs, the LC4 chaise longue, and the LC1 chair. Cassina has also produced landmark designs like Gio Ponti’s Superleggera chair, Vico Magistretti’s Maralunga sofa, and Mario Bellini’s Cab chair.

Through a combination of technical innovation, meticulous craftsmanship, and design research, Cassina has created a collection of timeless furniture that bridges architecture, art, and everyday living.
