Leucos / La Murrina

Leucos / La Murrina are Italian lighting brands closely associated with the tradition of Murano glass, combining centuries-old craftsmanship with contemporary design. Founded in 1962 in Venice, Leucos established itself as a producer of high-quality decorative lighting that bridges artisanal glassmaking and modern industrial processes. La Murrina, founded later in 1978, further emphasized artistic experimentation with hand-blown Murano glass, often collaborating with international designers.

Both brands are known for their refined use of hand-blown glass, innovative lighting techniques, and elegant forms that balance tradition and modernity. Iconic designs include Leucos’s Aella, Cloche, and Nimbus lamps, which reinterpret classical glass forms in a contemporary context, as well as La Murrina’s expressive Murano glass pendants, wall lights, and chandeliers, characterized by rich colors, layered glass, and sculptural silhouettes.

Leucos and La Murrina have collaborated with designers such as Roberto Pamio, Patrick Jouin, and Studio Marco Piva, resulting in lighting that ranges from minimalist and architectural to decorative and poetic.

Together, Leucos and La Murrina represent the evolution of Italian lighting design—where traditional Murano glass artistry meets modern design language and technology, producing timeless lighting objects.
