Furniture designer Ib Kofod-Larsen was born in Denmark in 1921 and studied at the Danish Royal Academy in Copenhagen. He was trained as an architect and was especially inspired by Danish furniture design, characterized by elegant, organic, sculptural shapes. Gorgeous woods, such as teak and rosewood, as well as rich leathers, are what he worked most with.
