This beautifully crafted, colored glass vase named "Ice" is one of the famous designs from Pertti Santalahti. In this design, geometric and organic shapes come together in an asymmetrical statement. A bold piece for any interior or office. The glass shows a colored gradient from brown/ocher to near transparent at the bottom. This piece has an etched attribution mark from the designer.

Pertti Juhani Santalahti was a Finnish designer. He studied at the Arts and Crafts Institute in the sculpture department. In 1962 he graduated as a designer. Kupittaan Savi, Nuutajärven Lasi, Alsterfors Lasitehdas (Sweden), Arabia Keramikke Tehdas and Hackman Iittala are some companies he designed for. From 1971-1981 he was a product developer at the Humppila glass factory and, since 1974, artistic director of the factory. His works are in many collections, such as the City of Helsinki Art Collections in Finland, the Finnish Glass Museum, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Tampere, the Museum of Applied Arts, the Kunstsammlungen der Veste in Coburg, and The British Crafts Center in London.
