Skipper & Pollux tafellamp van Murano-glas

Capture the bold spirit of 1980s Italian design with the Skipper & Pollux Table Lamp, a striking blend of form and refinement. Set on a sleek black-lacquered metal structure, its impressive silhouette supports a luminous Murano glass diffuser, crowned by a white glass upper cap and an inner translucent striped cylinder that channels light with layered sophistication.

Designed in the midst of the post-modern era, this piece resonates with the playful geometry and material contrasts that define the period. The interplay of matte black metal with the pure clarity and crisp hue of white Murano glass elevates this lamp to more than mere illumination — it’s a sculptural focal point for the contemporary collector’s home.

Produced in Italy around the early 1980s, this lamp bears all the hallmarks of refined craftsmanship. The Murano-glass elements are hand-worked (“Vetro eseguito da maestri di Murano, Made in Italy”) and the overall design nods to the innovative style of contemporaries like Bruno Gecchelin.

Ideal as a centerpiece on a sideboard, on a reading table, or in a lounge corner, it invites the eye while offering soft atmosphere and refined sophistication.

The lamp is in very good vintage condition, showing hardly any signs of use.
