Lampada da parete dell’aeroporto 'Kastrup'

An exceptional example of Danish functionalist lighting, this Kastrup Airport wall lamp was originally designed by Vilhelm Lauritzen for Copenhagen’s Kastrup Airport in the mid-1930s and produced by Louis Poulsen. Lauritzen’s lighting was conceived as an integral part of architectural space, prioritising clear, comfortable illumination, a principle clearly reflected in this robust, beautifully engineered lamp.

The design features a broad, concave painted metal reflector paired with a white opaline glass diffuser, delivering soft, glare-free light suited to both public and residential interiors. The generous scale and pared-back expression epitomise early Danish modern lighting — timeless, utilitarian and refined.

This rare light fixture, from an important chapter in Scandinavian design history, bridges architectural heritage and everyday functionality, making it a standout addition to any design collection. Comes with partly original installation instruction, see photo.

The size offered is the medium sized "Kastrup" lamp. Please note the light signs of use on the metal reflector.
