Oluce is an Italian lighting manufacturer founded in 1945 in Milan, making it the oldest Italian company still active in the lighting sector. From its beginnings, Oluce positioned itself at the forefront of modern design, combining technological innovation with refined aesthetics. The company played a key role in shaping Italian modern and contemporary lighting design and has consistently collaborated with leading designers and architects. A defining moment in Oluce’s history was its long-standing collaboration with Joe Colombo, whose visionary approach aligned perfectly with the company’s experimental spirit. Iconic designs from this partnership include the Spider floor lamp (1965), the Coupé lamp (1967), and the Acrilica table lamp (1962). These lamps are celebrated for their sculptural forms, innovative use of materials, and functional adjustability, and they remain among the most recognizable lighting designs of the 20th century. Oluce has also worked with influential designers such as Vico Magistretti, Marco Zanuso, Neri & Hu, and Tobias Grau, resulting in a diverse collection that spans decades of design evolution.
