Falkenbergs Belysning

Falkenbergs Belysning was a Swedish lighting manufacturer based in Falkenberg, Halland, and was active primarily during the mid-20th century. The company formed part of Sweden’s strong postwar lighting industry, which focused on producing well-designed, functional lamps for homes, public interiors, and workplaces. Falkenbergs Belysning is especially associated with the ideals of Scandinavian modernism, where practicality, restrained form, and high-quality craftsmanship were central. The company produced a wide range of lighting, including table lamps, floor lamps, wall lights, and pendant fixtures. Typical designs featured clean silhouettes and balanced proportions, often combining metal, brass, glass, and textile shades. Many lamps were designed to provide soft, glare-free illumination, reflecting the Nordic emphasis on comfortable, atmospheric light suited to everyday living. Falkenbergs Belysning’s work was less about radical experimentation and more about timeless, well-made design that fit naturally into modern interiors of the 1950s and 1960s.
